Sponsorship
The GAHF offers multiple opportunities for sponsors
to contribute to our projects. In addition to sponsorship through
the Council 1000, sponsors can support specific events, exhibitions
and other programs of the German-American Heritage Museum.
The Council of 1000 was established in 1987 to bring together
leaders in the German American Community interested in elevating
the national profile of German Americans. The Council of 1000 supports
the national headquarters of the German-American Heritage Foundation
of the USA as the premier organization representing Americans of
German speaking ancestry. Today, we are the only national German
American organization with a headquarters in Washington D.C.
Each year, the Council of 1000 presents the "Distinguished
German-American of the Year™" Award in recognition of outstanding
leadership and achievement by an American of German-speaking ancestry
in business, the arts, education, science, politics, or society.
The Council of 1000 is a special donor recognition level of the
German-American Heritage Foundation of the USA. You can join the
Council of 1000 with your $1,000 membership contribution. As a
member of the Council of 1000, you will receive a handsome lapel
pin and certificate acknowledging your contribution and all our
publications in addition to being invited to this and other special
events each year. Council of 1000 dues qualify as charitable contributions
and are tax deductible.
